About Orelia Pharma

Orelia Pharma is a foundation established in 2024 and headquartered in the Netherlands. The organization operates as a pharmaceutical wholesaler with a clear commitment to improving the availability of high-quality and essential medicines where the need is greatest.

Currently, Orelia Pharma operates primarily on a project basis, offering tailored pharmaceutical distribution solutions in response to specific healthcare demands. From 2027 onwards, the organization will expand its operations by maintaining a fixed stock focused on orphan medicines and other hard-to-obtain products, strengthening supply continuity and improving availability.

Our Activities

Orelia Pharma supplies primary care (community pharmacies), secondary care (hospitals and clinics), and pharmaceutical wholesalers with medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

In addition to distribution activities, the organization provides intellectual and advisory services, including support in the development and implementation of quality management systems. These services are aimed at enhancing patient safety, ensuring GDP compliance, and supporting regulatory adherence.

Our Mission

In the Netherlands, Orelia Pharma focuses on mitigating medicine shortages to safeguard continuous access for patients and healthcare professionals. At the same time, the organization is committed to improving the availability of orphan medicines registered within the European Economic Area (EEA).

Beyond Europe, Orelia Pharma contributes to improving access to healthcare in developing countries and conflict-affected regions, where reliable pharmaceutical supply chains are often limited.

Our Approach

Orelia Pharma places strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all activities. By aligning its operations with GDP guidelines and best practices, the organization ensures that its services meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

As a foundation, Orelia Pharma reinvests its profits to support its broader pharmaceutical and humanitarian objectives. This approach enables the organization to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable future in the availability of high-quality medicines.
